About Midlife Crisis Watches

Midlife Crisis Watches (MLCW) is, first and foremost, a collector at heart. This storefront is a personal project dedicated to moving pieces from my private collection that aren't getting the wrist time they deserve. Because this is a fun, personal endeavor rather than a large commercial enterprise, please keep the following in mind:

• Content & Pricing: While I aim for accuracy, details or prices may occasionally need updating. Please contact me directly to confirm availability or discuss the latest price.

• Pictures: These are 100% accurate. I personally photograph every single watch listed on the site.

• Straps: The watch comes as pictured ("what you see is what you get"). However, I believe the right strap makes the watch! I have a personal collection of straps and am happy to discuss substituting or adding a strap, often for a nominal fee or even for free.

• Shipping: I ship watches the way I want to receive them. Your watch will be packed in a plastic "watch coffin" for maximum crush protection, with the dial and buckle wrapped in protective film. I typically ship via FedEx, UPS, or USPS. Shipping costs are passed through to the buyer. If you have your own shipping account, I am happy to use it. Please note: Insurance is mandatory for any shipment valued over $250.

• Payment Options: I prefer PayPal, Venmo, or Bank Wire. If you are located in the Boston or New York City areas, I am also open to cash transactions and in-person pickups.

• Boxes & Papers: Because many of these pieces were sourced via JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) sellers across Asia, full retail packaging is rare. Most will arrive in a generic black Seiko box. Note that Seiko has largely stopped shipping printed product brochures to save costs and protect the environment; these can be found easily on their website.

• As-Is Condition: What you see is what you receive. All watches leave my hands in full working order. Please note that I cannot be held responsible for lost, stolen, or transit-damaged items once they have shipped.

• Returns: Unless explicitly agreed upon prior to the sale, I cannot accept returns. Once the watch leaves my home, the transaction is considered final.

• Transparency & Contact: I am happy to provide videos, FaceTime chats, or detailed emails for any watch. As I have a full-time job, live video calls (FaceTime) generally need to be scheduled for the evenings.

• Why Am I Selling?: I am a collector, not a flipper. I currently have over 120+ watches, and I am simply consolidating to fund the next "grail" on the list. These watches deserve to be worn, not sit in a box!
